Vladimir is a city with a millennial history and it is the most ancient capital of North-Eastern Russia, located 180 km away from Moscow. It was named in the honor of its founder Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich of Kiev.

In the city there are a lot of unique monuments of architecture of XII century that survived through centuries: the Assumption and Dmitrovsky Cathedrals, Golden Gates, Church of the Intercession-on-Nerl in Bogolyubov.

Suzdal is located 30 km away from Vladimir and is almost 1000 years old. The city of Suzdal used to be a capital of a principality for long time, and this explains the great variety of buildings and monuments. There are five monasteries, thirty-three churches, white-stone Kremlin, buildings of ancient wooden architecture make the city a museum under the open sky, which you must visit if you want to see the real Russia.
